Ugh it took me a month to read this book because of (life) but also because it was a bit... slow?
The chapters were fairly short and easy to read but I think this book synopsis is a bit misleading. I picked this up because I thought it would be a retelling of Medusa's story, but, it focuses so much on outside characters and other gods that it doesn't feel that way at all. I understand why the author did it this way - it's impossible to tell Medusa's story without referencing these other figures, but... it was just a lot.
I also felt like it was a great retelling in the sense that it shifted the perspective we have of Medusa and I liked it enough, but, it just fell a bit short for me.
