Who I Am: My Story by Melanie C

Trigger warning - eating disorders

I don't usually read Autobiographies but this was a must for me. I absolutely love Mel C and loved the spice girls when I was younger, she was always my favourite, with Mel B being a close second.

You never truly know what is behind the smiles and performances until you read a book like this. It's so sad what Mel C went through and I'm really glad she's stronger now.

The issues talked about in this book are things that should be widely talked about and I believe it is improving as the years go on but still it's not enough. Noone should ever be made to feel less than brilliant, we are all so unique and we should celebrate this not slate people for being a bit different or different to you anyway.

We never know what someone is going through, take Caroline Flack for example. It's just awful that these things happen and for Mel C to share her experiences and difficulties in this book is so brave and compelling.

I am definitely going to read Mel Bs autobiography now as well, Mel C touches on her book in this one.
