Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

challenging informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.0

It is a seriously ambitious task to write a book covering the entirety of human history, especially in fewer than 500 pages, but the author managed to do just that. Some of the conclusions drawn may have been a bit anecdotal, and certain portions of the book clearly reflect the author's opinion. However, I most certainly wouldn’t have made it through this book if it solely consisted of facts and historical accounts.

Most importantly, this book raises some very pointed questions about our past and our future as a species that will likely impact the way you think about the world we live in.
