Second chance, age gap romance between a SS agent and the VP (now Prez). This book, whoa. It basically has everything I love in a romsus - a *wowza*, twisty suspense plot, tortured heroes, a passionate romance, emotions abound (friendship as well). They're both layered and complicated, and Bauer played out the complexities of their characters and their relationship so wonderfully.
I love both of them, but Jonathan has my heart. I'm an absolute sucker for a hardened and stoic man allowing himself to be completely vulnerable in all ways with the one he loves. Their romance is all-consuming and explosive - off the charts angst, tenderness, passion and steam 🥵. My one quibble is that I want an epilogue! Simply put, I *loved* this.
