Bones by K.L. Speer

5.0

I’m not sure if I have the words to describe how heart-wrenching and beautiful this post-apocalyptic romantasy novel is…

The storytelling from our main character’s (Bones) POV illustrates the struggles of trust and trauma/PTSD in a post-apocalyptic world. The character development is quite beautiful from the dialogue to the character mannerisms - the characters truly feel like real people.

This novel is very dark but well balanced with many light moments between characters. The romance is slow burn, touch her and die, one bed, and forced proximity.

K.L. Speer had me on an emotional roller coaster throughout the whole book - I cried, laughed, smiled, and felt anger for the characters.

Thank you so much K.L. Speer releasing this heart-wrenching, but beautiful novel. I can’t wait to read book two, Fangs!
