I really enjoyed this book. I did think Eli and Ava were a bit frustrating, but I felt it was understandable given their circumstances. It was very heavy on the miscommunication, but I do think it was done well in this book.
I would definitely recommend this and the rest of the series. Although I didn't particularly like all the books, I do feel it is better to read in order. But they can be read as standalones if you'd like. Except for maybe this last book as it takes place several years after the rest of the series.
