Homesick for Another World by Ottessa Moshfegh

2.0

Good stories, a few among them that explore really provoking themes, but many that feel almost like obligatory exercises or meditations on misery. Moshfegh loves to write about people who are twisted and disillusioned, which can be enticing or very banal. My favorite stories were SlummingThe Surrogate, and A Better Place.
