The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame

5.0

Being a sheer lover of Children's Literature, Classics and the Cottagecore aesthetic, I cannot just explain in words how perfectly enchanting this book has been to me! I loved how peaceful yet how exciting the plot was. The description of the pastoral living through the perspective of some anthropomorphic animals was really very appealing. I personally liked the character of Mole the most. His humility, his attachments with any living or non-living things, his kindness and his loyalty to his friends touched my heart. Rat and Badger were like the protective and wise kind of friends anyone would ever ask for. Nonetheless, what was at the heart of the book was the characteristic development in Mr Toad. Although it was an easy read, I must acknowledge that I cherished each part of this simple yet wonderful, evergreen Children's Classic and I won't mind at all reading it again!
