The best Verity Kent novel so far! Picking up more or less where Penny for Your Secrets left off, A Pretty Deceit follows Verity, Sidney, and their friends as they try to unravel a sinister conspiracy that's already cost several people their lives. At the same time, they try to assist Verity's aunt and cousin with mysterious events at their estate. I particularly appreciated the character development in this latest instalment and look forward to seeing what Huber has in store for her characters next.
