Darius the Great Is Not Okay
by Adib Khorram
Darius faces both his inherited depression and his uncertainties regarding his place in the world as the son of a Persian mother and American father. While the insecurities that plague Darius can feel repetitive and frustrating at times, it provides a good framework for stepping into his shoes and experiencing his fears and at times overwhelming sense of isolation. Throughout the story, Darius grows and gains better understanding of himself in the world and in his own family.
