I thoroughly enjoyed being back in Breq’s world of Ships, Ancillaries and Radch. This second book in the series was slower in its pacing but I actually loved all the interactions Breq had and her observations shared with Mercy of Kalr and vice versa.

It felt as if Breq is about to adopt people who are not treated well by life, circumstances, or the Radch, may it be their Lord (err, one of them) or their society. To me Breq is not only a former ship but has got all what’s necessary for a thoughtful revolutionist. I mean she’s thousands of years old and knows humanity intimately- if one will make a difference it could be her.

Let’s wait and see what will happen in the last book. There are still mysteries to be solved and other races to meet. I’m looking forward to it.

P.S.: I was so sad that Dilque, who was delightful in their way of looking at things and commenting on them, died so soon.
