This was generally a very quick & entertaining read! The writing is quite... simple and leaves a bit to be desired, though. I had a hard time with some of the time jumps because they felt jarring and made it difficult to absorb myself back into the story. The writing also achieves it's quick moving feeling through giving us minimal character development. The description of the setting and the feelings was very well-done, but I felt little for the characters themselves. 

Reading the author's note at the end made me really appreciate what she was doing with this story, though. I'm not mad I read this and I will definitely check out more by the author eventually.
