i would've given this 4 or 4.5 stars if it wasn't for the last third of the book. nonetheless it is a good book. i really enjoyed it. the ending didn't feel like it was an ending to a book. of course it left me wanting to know what will happen next, but that the way i feel at the end of each chapter in this series ;p but then again this book is part one of book 3 & book 3 is only divided into 2 parts in the paperback edition, so the ending of this part is not really meant to be the end of a book. this makes sense i guess ;p
i'm seriously enjoying and loving this series, it's like i never want them to end. i don't want to stop reading them lol i think they are one of the very few books i read and don't want to finish because i fear reaching the end. i'm not reading them to know what will happen at the end because there is ALWAYS something happening in these books. i like how there is always a book in this serious waiting for me to read when i have nothing to read next (which is not really true ;p) or more accurately, when my mood can't decide what i want to read next. i'm always in the mood to read a song of ice and fire book :) this is why i don't want them to end. BUT all that said i can't wait for Martin to publish books 6 and 7 because i don't know what i will do when i read book 5 and book 6 is not released yet :/ chop chop old man and hurry up with the writing!
