Please Don't Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes: Essays by Phoebe Robinson

4.0

When Phoebe Robinson releases a new book, I already know I'll be listening to the audiobook because her narration adds all her own flair to the writing. This book covered a lot of timely and important topics, including relationships during quarantine, BLM, and Black hair discrimination. I really resonated with her essay on child-free adults and will probably go back to that one periodically when the outside pressure/judgment gets to be too much.

Of course, my one gripe is her joke tangents. This is prevalent in her other books as well, and at times I found myself thinking "Wrap it up and get back to the point." Other than that, this was a great listening experience.
