I don't like sad books. I've been meaning to read this since I've followed the Author for years. But no matter how good... sad books and me don't mix.. I can do a sad moment... But this? This had me teary eyed from beginning to end. Maybe because I remember what it was like when the real plane came down. Washington Heights was in mourning all over again. Maybe it's because I haven't dealt with my own grief well. 

BUT THIS WAS BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN. AND BRILLIANTLY PRODUCED AS AN AUDIOBOOK. 



my one burning question is...

 What's the real story behind the parents? We only hear the surviving parents truth. But the other two parents never get to share their side. I'm Beyond glad they grow as individuals and leave the past there, but it's a burning question.
