Well, I enjoyed every minute of this book!

This is a dark and spicy rom-com, unlike any other rom-com I've ever read! The story follows Beck, a serial "unaliver" taking out the trash of society. I'm talking about the truly horrible people that slip through the corruption and loopholes of the justice system. Beck is a very dangerous man and seems to not feel emotions quite the same way others do. While he is scoping out his next target he meets the enticing woman that will become his newest obsession, Tate also known as TK. When he meets TK and it's like a switch was flipped inside him turning him into this still dangerous but also swoon-worthy man. I love how he's so obsessed with her and with taking care of her regardless of the fact that he's never felt this way about anyone before. His inexperience doesn't mean he's lacking in any way however because this man knows exactly what he's doing. And for anything he doesn't know he sure is a fast learner haha. ;)

Now I am a big fan of dark humor so I really loved how the comedy was mixed into this yet it stayed dark and steamy. The relationship Beck has with his friends/partners/coworkers, whatever you want to call them lol, is so funny and their interactions made for some of my favorite moments in the book. I'm also hoping to see some of their stories in the future because I have a feeling there are some exciting things going on there.

The spice? The spice was HOT! Like I was not expecting it to be as good as it was considering the things we find out early on lol but I was pleasantly surprised. Beck has got his dirty talk locked down and I'm so here for it. The storyline was good but I wasn't honestly sure where it was going until much later in the book. I sort of felt like I was just along for the ride without a clear answer as to where the destination would be. But it was an enjoyable ride at least lol. As I got closer to the end and I started to pick up on where things were headed I definitely enjoyed it more and had my mind made up on how it would end. Until I was thrown a curveball I never saw coming. That alone almost made up for being a tad unsure in the beginning because that twist was so good in more ways than one. Then it all got wrapped up in the perfect ending for these two.

This was the first book I've read from this author and I have to say I'm very much considering reading some of the other books Genna has published because of it. This is a good one to pick up if you enjoy dark humor and dark romance without some big emotional third-act fallout.
