A Quiet Life
by Ethan Joella
This is my first Ethan Joella book and guaranteed to be the first of many. I love the tenderness in which he presents his characters. Each is masterfully crafted with strong story lines and even more emotion. I appreciated the inter-connected threads that kept each chapter moving even if I wanted the last one to never end.
Each of his three main characters are suffering grief and seem the gravitate towards each other. I loved the over-arcing themes of love, generosity, selflessness, sympathy/empathy and the family you find/choose.
This book has all the feels and was a perfect story to begin after Christmas and before New Years. Shall I suggest December 29, the day the story begins like I did? Really anytime is a marvelous time, and this one isn’t to be missed.
