"I'm saying, people do strange things to protect their hearts. But when you're afraid, your heart is closed, and it's never the right time, but when your heart is open, and you're willing to be brave enough to take a chance, the time is always right."

This was my first K-Pop book and I am absolutely in love with this genre now. It's so sweet an wholesome. I loved that the characters each had something that gave them grit. I think I don't read enough of these lighter books, and they absolutely are essential moving forward. Reading a meet-cute, innocent and very age appropriate relationship develop between two very wholesome characters gave me this weird sense of nostalgic joy.

I liked how the characters spoke about the reasons for not being allowed to date. That in return for financial freedom and success, they opened every facet of their selves to their fans. While I personally don't think people are entitled to it, the explanation of culture was cool.

I think this also captured what I believe- that it's important to be direct and transparent with those we love. Maybe our assumptions can misdirect our actions and misalign us more from our loved ones. I loved how pure and supportive the friendships in this were.
