What Lies Beyond the Veil
by Harper L. Woods
I really enjoyed this book; the plot and spice were on point. I really liked the main characters and thought the world building was great. It did not disappoint me, and I can’t wait for book two.
It starts off with our main girl Estrella who is basically going to be sacrificed to the veil, which separates the human world and the Fae world. Turns out that as soon as she goes to be sacrificed, which she is happy to do, (big F U to lord Byron). She breaks the veil, creatures come through looking to kill all who are fae marked. Being marked means your mated to a Fae, which she is. She doesn’t agree to this and runs out of town with her brother as fast as possible. While on the run she meets Caelum (Top 5 for book boyfriend) he’s marked like her, and they build this relationship knowing that her Mate is looking for her and wants to bring her across the veil.
