This book would have given me a gender identity crisis—but the joke’s on you, Theo. You can’t give me what I already have!
A cute, kind, thoughtful book about the author’s relationship to their gender. I liked that it didn’t try to tackle the subject of what gender “is” as opposed to “what it means for them.” (Quotes because I often find that short-form explanations of what gender means are often reductive and strange. Whereas talking about the role of gender in the author’s life just helps illustrate differences and similarities in our experiences. 🩵🩷🤍)
