The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah
5.0
It blows my mind that back in the 1920s, you were considered a spinster if you weren’t married by 25. Seriously?? Wild.
I’ll be honest, at first, Loreda came off like such a spoiled brat, but wow… she grew on me in the best way. By the end, I was absolutely rooting for her.
This book wrecked me, but in the best, most beautiful way. It made me really sit back and think: anytime I feel like life’s been hard, it’s nothing compared to the sheer heartbreak, prejudice, starvation, and devastation people lived through during the Great Depression.
The Four Winds is powerful, heartbreaking, and inspiring all at once. I could not put it down, even when my heart felt like it was breaking. Definitely a 5-star read for me!
