It seemed like this book was trying to do a lot of different things, and only did a couple of them well. The erotic scenes between Malcolm and Pippa were good, but that's about it. The rest of the elements, from the mystery/thriller aspects to the contrived story elements to the actual character development were all a little too lacking for my tastes. Malcom felt like a typical bad boy, and Pippa felt like a cliched version of a recluse with a collection of quirks rather than someone who truly suffered from some kind of disorder.

Overall, I was hoping for a fast-paced thriller full of sensuality, but instead it was more of a collection of loosely-framed sexual encounters that, while entertaining to read, really didn't connect on a deeper level. I don't think I'll be continuing on in the series.
