I wanted to love this book as I read the Foundling by the same author and loved it but this one fell so short for me. I nearly put it down multiple times but decided to keep going with it thinking that something more was going to happen. Reading the blurb of this book gives you the entire story and saves you plenty of time. The author has a good writing style which I loved in her other books but this storyline could’ve been amazing but it was just page after page of the same thing.
