I would like to preface this review by saying I really liked the premise and the story but I also think I’m outgrowing YA books. Like if I was 17 I would’ve ate this up and then some but I’m not so it was just a good book.

That being said we do witness Maria and her friends go through some emotional growth and help each other begin to heal from their traumas. I do wish we had seen her and Aedan’s relationship develops instead of just being told there was one because when the stakes where supposed to be high I didn’t feel it, and when she found out his secrets but couldn't help being around him, I didn’t understand how.
