Avery and Sam deserve the world. I‘m so sad that children with stories like theirs exist. Maybe someday our social systems will improve and help prevent things like child homelessness etc.
The character building is very well done and I liked the setting. My only point of criticism are the last few chapters. It felt all a tiny bit too dramatic and rushed. I would have preferred a more internal and slower change in Sam.
