Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella

2.0

Typical Shopaholic - Becky is up to her usual ways but only in Hollywood this time. I always forget how long Kinsella's books can be since they're such fast reads, and this is the only time it's actually bothered me. Because the ending- or, rather, lack of an ending - was really frustrating to me as a reader who just slogged through almost 500 pages of fluffy chick lit. Which is a genre I love, don't get me wrong, but part of that love stems from closure at the end. It was sorely lacking this time and I know to get it, I'm going to pick up the next book and slog through 400+ more pages.

It wasn't even the kind of ending that segues into the next book in the series, as Kinsella has done before with this series. I don't mind that. At all. But I do mind only one thing being resolved out of about 5 outstanding items. So based on the poor ending, 2 stars for me on this one.
