Not If I See You First
by Eric Lindstrom
Loved it! I recommend this review to get a perspective on the quality of the disability representation in the book: https://disabilityinkidlit.com/2015/12/11/review-not-if-i-see-you-first-by-eric-lindstrom/
Personally I just love the very challenging but somehow still likeable narrator who does lots of things wrong but is willing to reflect and grow. It’s so much more than a book about a blind girl- even though her blindness is instrumental to much of the storyline, she’s a fully developed imperfect character so it doesn’t dominate or make her seem two-dimensional, if that even makes sense.
I absolutely zoomed through this as it was very engaging and easy-to-read.
