I really wanted to love this one, but I couldn’t help comparing it to J.C. Belenac’s This Fate that Guides Us Duology. There are a lot of similarities, and this one wasn’t terrible. I just kind of felt like this one was more of an outline/bare bone of a story instead of a full book. There were a lot of moments when the book went right up to the line but just stopped, especially when it came to Willow. I mean we never really get to see that storyline clear up and it was a huge part of the book. It’s like we kept tiptoeing up to the line but then never went over it. I really needed that one to clear up. I just wanted the drama to expand and get to see closure for everything. There are just too many moments where things just disappear instead of fully completed.
