I hated this book. HATED it. Is it brilliantly written and a literary masterpiece? Absolutely. As far as good writing, do I give it five stars? Absolutely. Did I enjoy reading any part of it? Absolutely not. I read it for my AP Literature class, and then wrote an essay about it, and to this day it was the most challenging essay I've ever written. It's the kind of book everyone who likes books should probably read, because it is an excellent usage of language, but do not go into it with the expectation that it will be easy or enjoyable.
There was a sentence in here that was over half a page long. ONE SENTENCE.
