Both Tara and Seth are Korean-Americans with domineering older siblings and a fear of love after emotionally abusive relationships in college. They agree to a dating dare where they will go on four dates before Seth leaves for his new job in Paris without letting anyone in her small town know, and neither of them can fall in love. Obviously, they quickly fail at these conditions.

Both characters have interesting jobs, Seth is a fashion photographer who misses being an artist and Tara is a brewer who once dreamed of being a sommelier. They have really good chemistry and they go on some very cute dates. Their trauma was handled okay, although I would have preferred them to go into the healing a bit more. I also wish the epilogue actually showed more of their final date because the ending in general seemed pretty rushed.
