The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel
2.0

I don’t even know how to review this book.

The first half I was extremely interested but then it got to the point where I was introduced to so many characters that none of them were making an impact on me in any beneficial way.

I didn’t like how the story jumped around not only in timeline but from different character. Especially ones who weren’t apart of the main story, but were affected by the main characters actions.

It had potential. But for me the disorganized timeline and the random following of certain characters made me lose interest in the ones I wanted to care for.

When starting out telling me about one person. But then going on about his sister for a majority of the book only to loop back to him 3/4 of the book later were the types of character switching I wasn’t a fan of.

OH! And the writing on the hotel window?? And everyone was just sooo impacted by it. It continued to be a topic of discussion throughout the book. And it wasn’t even a phrase that most people would bat an eye at.
