A Lesson in Secrets
by Jacqueline Winspear
I felt like the character development that really made the previous book move just completely stalled here. It’s a bit of a filler episode with a side mission for the secret service. So many relationships changed in the previous book that didn’t develop at all in this one. Perhaps it was an intentional move as England around her is moving forward so considerably and the focus the series has had on post-WWI England is moving into pre-WWII England.
