Wait for You by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is entertaining stuff. It was romantic and hot and cute and amusing all at the same time.
I really like Cam. He knows he's hot and he's not being modest about it but he's not a douchebag. Unlike some guys who only talks about how awesome they are. And I like that he's being persistent. He asked Avery out for two months without fail and though she keeps saying no, he doesn't give up. It's a rare attitude for a guy. I like Sunday morning eggs, I like cookies, I like his overprotectivenesss, I like his cheerful family and I like him being hot. Seriously, Avery is one lucky girl.
About Avery, well.. apparently she got some issues she can't move forward from and it hinders with her everyday life. I couldn't blame her. What happened was really unforgettable and traumatizing. Plus, being reputation freak her parents were didn't help her situation. I actually concluded that she was adopted because of the lack of care she receives. But in the end, I realized no. Her parents were just assholes. If it weren't for them, she will be able to stand up again from what happened. But they kicked her ass down. Especially her mother. Bitch.
So I totally understand that she can't tell everything to Cam and to her friends. I'd probably do the same.
What's extraordinary in this novel is the the aftermath of Cam and Avery's first date. I'm talking about the aftermath where Avery is alone. It is so liberating and unbelievable and it shocked me. I never read something like that before and I definitely haven't done it myself. It struck me speechless.
And I would like to add the sex but not sex happening between them. That's really liberating.
What I don't like in this book is that the story is predictable. There's no mind reeling twists to excite about and no extraordinary turn of events. And I wish there was a better ending. But I like it still.
