Lyra's Oxford by Philip Pullman

4.0

This is a small novella set in His Dark Materials universe, two years after the events of The Amber Spyglass. It was nice to reunite with Lyra and her daemon Pantalaimon, even if briefly. The story shows Lyra as more settled than she was at the end of the trilogy, but it also shows how the events that happened previously are still causing repercussions.

I enjoyed the artwork, and the pullout map, especially. I'm tempted to re-read the trilogy with the map out during the Oxford portions just to follow along with the action.
