Best Zombie Story in Years
Tired of reading stories about zombies told from cliche viewpoints and what prompted me to pick up this book came from the author's choice to weave a lovely parent-child story into such a genre, as mainly recounted through the eyes of a female child. Nothing about Carey's prose disappoints, and each of his cast of characters feels incredibly realistic, surprising, and engaging.
