This book was magical. I felt the "caraval curtain" fall over me page one! If I could add "competing in Legend's festivities" to my bucket list, I would! If you think you want to venture into fantasy... I would definitely try reading this book first! No, it isn't really fantasy... But it is the perfect introduction to the mythical and magical side of literature!
The characters introduced in this book are just stunning! I loved Julian, Scarlett, and 'Dante'! Not to mention the beautiful mystery that is LEGEND! I loved how Donatella plays such a small role as a character in this specific installment.... however, she is such an important character for the overall game! It gave us the opportunity to create your own picture of Donatella! The same way goes for Legend! I also really enjoyed the mixture between "desire and necessity" that came along with the characters participating in the game. It gave a sort of suspense and underlying depth to the story line!
Honestly.. It feels like I read this series a century ago! So I definitely have to re-read this before I start her new release!
