Okay, I am slightly obsessed with Alexander the Great and I want to read anything and everything about him. Last year I heard about this fantastic historical fiction/fantasy about Alexander and was like, oh heck yes! I read Legacy of Kings and loved it.

So the sequal Empire was one of my most anticipated of 2016, and just like the first book, I can say it did not disappoint! There was betrayal, slight romance, magic, and war. Every page was filled with fascinating history that holds some truth to it, and that is what I love about Eleanor Herman. The fact she is a historian makes it so much better. Eleanor weaves fact with fiction ultimately creating a beautiful tale filled with multiple characters who are unforgettable and a world that makes you grasp for more. There were plot twists, though I saw some coming, it still made me excited and worried and the ending… gosh what a cliffhanger! I was iffy on what to rate this, but regardless I cannot wait until Reign of Serpents comes out!
