Victories Greater Than Death by Charlie Jane Anders

Did not finish book. Stopped at 75%.

I loved All the Birds in the Sky, and I wanted to love this book, but I just couldn't get into it. To me, the story felt bogged down in all the descriptions of the alien species and, if I'm honest, the politics. The message felt too heavy for the story. IMO, the narrator didn't help, either. 

Anyway, after trying to push through it for a few weeks, I decided life is too short and there are too many compelling books for me to keep trying to slog through this one.
