A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

5.0

I've not read any Charles Dickens books before now and the reviews I've had have been mixed but I really enjoyed this.

⚠️TW: ghosts, death

Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely, tempestous and miserable old man lives alone in a big house, sitting on all his money and is visited by 3 ghosts all in one night. They come to remind him, to warn him, to show him what his actions or inaction could do to certain people in his life.

This story is unlike so many others and I think sets the scene for a lot of traditional Christmas values. Being with family and loved ones, turkey dinner and eating lots of food and being kind to one another. If only every story had this ending, this epiphany almost.

Full of laughter, woe and morals. I would highly recommend and plan to read more Dickens in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
