Poignant and reflective account of the personal conflict and struggles of Japanese-American people during and after the second world war, Pearl harbour and Hiroshima. Starts slow and reflective and then picks up pace - feels like it ends twice. Felt even more meaningful after reading of the author's life and the importance of this novel to the Asian-American population.
