This is a great start for a YA debut , I didn't even know this was her first time writing YA until I read the last pages! Great writing and plot line , wasn't even annoyed when the story unveiled the "they liked each other all along!!" troupe. It was done gradually and written well and honestly that's all I ask for when authors write childhood rivals to lovers. Even the side characters! They dont take a backseat to the romance but are interwoven into their lives & story that you feel their absence and how much they mean to Bobby and Winter. My only small gripe is when things were getting resolved near the end of the book , Bobby somehow temporarily dropped his extreme need to be organized at all times? Maybe I misunderstood but it's kinda hard to develop habits for 17 years and break through in one summer.
