Really clever plot. An exploration and satire (?) of femme creativity, femme friendships and the performance of femininity vs the f*ed up darkness that lives within us. Totally unhinged, unreliable narrator, interesting use of the narrators voice literally talking to herself rather than just the narrator telling the story. I LOVED the chapter
when Sam becomes absorbed in the Bunny hive mind. Big time love the reveal about Ava and Max as well, it makes so much sense that she’s got the most powerful imagination and can achieve what the others couldn’t.
Metamorphosis is a really powerful theme and tool in this novel, and I think it’s getting at true ~something~ whether that be power, creation etc can be found when you embrace /explore/delve/don’t shy away from EVERYTHING within you and every experience. The Bunnies couldn’t achieve what they wanted bc they were too superficial. LOVED it.
