I do love this world on Giant, the intricate political implications and cultural divides that Older has created. It feels like a real place.
I enjoyed this book! Another fun short casual mystery with Mossa and Pleiti.
I think non-earth mysteries are my favorites.
My one gripe with this was it felt a little like a repeat of the first book in a lot of ways. A similar plot and similar character arcs, same insecurities and anxieties experienced by Pleiti, without much headway in that regard, same highbrow academia vernacular that I am so far removed from in my reality. But it’s short and fun and since when have I ever expected my murder mysteries to be deep?
