The FMC is 13 when she meets the MMC, who is 30, and this grown up man tells her that she will be a beauty in no time. And when she is 17, they meet again and he says I love your hair, it looks exactly as I like it in women.
I do understand that in 1930 it was kinda normal to like or even encourage this type of relationships when it comes to status, and normally I have nothing against love stories with age gaps, but not when one of the characters is basically a child.
