The Last Word by Taylor Adams

4.0

There are various critiques I could write about this book, but in the end I frankly don't care. The whole package is a well constructed thriller that almost made me tear up in the end. It feels like 3 books in one, but that's intentional and each piece is compelling. The duel narrative is incredibly well crafted to add both depth and humor to each side. Having two parallel explanations of events could be frustrating in other books but the divergence between them in this is so so good. This has hints of the author's previous works in it, but all of them are improved upon. This isn't No Exit, but that's not even something I would want; I'm glad this is a new direction for the author and leaves me excited for what he tries next
