Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

4.0

it’s the perfect sort of book to listen to on audiobook as it’s set up as interviews of the band member, performances were wonderful.
the story itself was fortunately not too contrived/dramatic for the sake of it. its just the account of what a rock and roll band got up to in the 60’s/70’s so - lots of drugs, alcohol and more drugs but it doesn’t glamorise anything, instead shows how members attempt to stay sober whilst others don’t.
as many others have mentioned i’m gutted the music isn’t actually real but there is an official playlist on Spotify (+ apple music) of songs that inspired the author if i recall correctly. Also, Fleetwood mac’s autobiography, amongst a few others, have been referenced whilst writing this and Daisy gives me ‘Stevie Nicks’ feels so you’re welcome to give their discography a listen, I did.
Also, there’s going to be a show based on it so keeping my fingers crossed the music sounds good as it seems!
