Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

5.0

I knew I was going to love this book since page one, and I was absolutely right. It had just the right amount of everything: action, romance, a little bit of mystery, wholesome, cute moments and a really nice family dynamic.

Yadriel, who is transgender, grapples with acceptance from his family, particularly his father. Despite his father's struggle to understand him, there are heartwarming moments as he strives to accept Yadriel for who he is, a journey that unfolds throughout the story.

One of the many other things that I loved so much about this book was how much the Latinx culture is embedded into the story. From the festivals, the different food, the generational lore, the interactions between family members and loved ones—everything was presented and portrayed really well.
