Trainwreck by Jude Ellison S. Doyle
5.0

This is not a flawless book; there are moments where the theme becomes a little incoherent and some places where it felt a little too much like a reach, and based on the first two parts this was a solid 4. Then the last few chapters really sold me, particularly the one which linked the rise of Britney (and which perfectly articulated my tween hatred of her that still makes me cringe) to Hillary Clinton & her husband's scandal, and discussed Hillary's rise since (but in a book written pre-election) and anyways I read that on my lunch break today and cried into my tuna melt a little bit.

This was a really refreshing book which was set up in a truly interesting and poignant way, that made some really good thought-provoking connections and excellent observations and made me laugh a lot, even as it sometimes made me cry.
