the .5 taken off is bc of how much the characters in this books expected nick to know but never told him?? like, sure, he’s a little slow, and i figured it out easily, BUT CAN YOU BLAME HIM?? HE’S A LITTLE GUY FROM WISCONSIN WHO LOVES MATH AND HAS NO REASON TO SEARCH FOR THE 20 HIDDEN MEANINGS IN EVERYTHING YOU SAY.

okay, my personal gripe with that aside, this book is literally perfect. i’d eat up a great gatsby inspired story any day, but a retelling with T4T gatsby and nick, latinx nick and daisy, and lesbian daisy?? IM OVER THE FUCKING MOON
ate this book up in a day. under 24 hours. IT WAS JUST TOO PERFECT AND IDC IF IM ABSOLUTELY SUFFERING FROM RECENCY BIAS AND THE FACT THAT IT’S 2 AM, I WILL SING THIS BOOKS PRAISES TO THE WORLD!!
