shokarya 's review for:
Fourth Wing
by Rebecca Yarros
It was a pleasure to re-read !!!
I went into the book not knowing/thinking I wouldn't enjoy it much, but here I am, and it's 5 stars.
My enjoyment was great even though there are things that bother me.
I think that the main character in particular was not developed quite enough.
The more I read, the more I disliked Dain, which I read from another review that he was the Tamlin of Fourth Wing, and I definitely see that.
It felt easy for Violet to go through college. She has disabilities (which I like that they're not "fixed" but it's just there, she just deals with it) that, I feel like, should have made her rise in the school harder.
Even though it's not, it felt like reading a YA more than a new adult/adult.
Also, chapter 36 was the most engaging, with the most action. - sad but I loved it.
Cliffhanger at the end which I don't find horrible, it gives enough without making it frustrating, though I would love to have the 2nd book in my hands right now...
I can't wait to read the second book when it comes out in November.
